ST FRANCIS COMMUNITY INTEGRATED CARE PROGRAMME

St. Francis Community Integrated Care Programme is a non-governmental organisation located in the Southern Province of Zambia in Livingstone District. Being a border town, Livingstone has the highest rate of HIV and AIDS related diseases in the Country. The Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa established St. Francis Community Integrated Care Programme in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and the Catholic Diocese of Livingstone in 1993.  It has helped more than 11,750 patients to date in eight peri-urban compounds of the district namely: Maramba, Linda, Dambwa, Libuyu, Railway Compound, Town Centre, Police and Prisons and Mwandi in Airport.



The vision of the project is “to have a healthy Livingstone community free from poverty, HIV and AIDS, TB and malaria.’’



The mission statement is “to provide quality holistic care to person with disabilities, people living with HIV and AIDS, TB and malaria and their families and reduce poverty levels through nursing and medical care, health education, orphans and vulnerable children support, economic empowerment and capacity building”.



Our core values are: confidentiality, love, care, discipline, transparency, professionalism, compassion, empowerment, commitment, trustworthy, human rights, team spirit, honesty, integrity, help the poor and destitute, reverence for God, all faiths.
